Anjum appointed consultant of Odisha women cricket team

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today decided to appoint former India and Delhi all-rounder Anjum Chopra as the consultant for women cricket team of the state. The decision to appoint Chopra, who played 12 Tests and 116 ODIs for the country, was one of many important ones taken at the first meeting of the newly constituted OCA Cricket Development Committee here at Barabati Stadium.
Other decisions include: conduct of a talent search camp at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack for pace bowlers and spinners; appointment of Level-A coaches as Talent Research & Development Officers (TRDO) for all districts, appointment of Angul District Cricket Association secretary Balabhadra Pattnaik as the chief TRDO; setting up of two Odisha Cricket Residential Schools with schooling facility at Cuttack and Sambalpur) to impart coaching to junior (u-14 and u-16) cricketers; introduction of the State Inter-School Cricket Tournament and Basanta Biswal Memorial All-India U-14 Tournament from this year.
Meanwhile, the OCA completed the process of appointment of support staff for different state teams for the year 2012-13.
